What Drives Us

Our Mission

To build a world where mothers are not an afterthought but the starting point. Putchi exists to bring comfort, confidence, and community to women before, during, and after pregnancy, through: • thoughtfully designed maternity and feeding wear • postpartum essentials and newborn care • experiences and support that make motherhood feel seen and understood We believe motherhood is not the end of a woman’s identity — it is her evolution, her becoming. Founder & Creative Director

I’m Deepika — founder of Putchi, and first a mother. When Putchi was born in March 2020, my first baby was just six months old. Today, I am a mother of two, and while my journey has evolved, one truth has remained constant: mothers deserve to be seen, supported, and celebrated. In my early days of motherhood, I noticed something unsettling. During pregnancy, the world surrounds you with love and attention but the moment the baby arrives, that spotlight shifts. Suddenly, everything is about the baby. And the mother? She is expected to simply carry on silently adapting, endlessly giving. I felt invisible. There was no space created for the mother herself. No place where she could feel held, healed, heard, or honoured. The market was overflowing with baby products, but I struggled to find anything built around a mother’s comfort, her changing body, her emotions, her identity, or her dignity. So I decided to create that space a care-led Indian maternity & baby brand dedicated to feeding wear, maternity essentials, newborn comfort and postpartum support. A brand built by a mom for native moms one that understands motherhood beyond products, and designs for the woman behind the mother.
